On 25th of June 2016, the Toastmasters Clubs in East Africa gathered at the Nairobi Safari Club to hold the grandest public speaking extravaganza to celebrate the close of the Toastmasters year.
In the speech category +Joshua Tahinduka, the president of the 1Rwanda Toastmasters Club, emerged the winner followed closely by +Momanyi Nyabonyi of Downtown Toastmasters second place and +Ronald Chepkwony of Smart Speak Toastmasters Club in third position.
Smart Speak was judged the best club of the year, Downtown came second, while Early Birds took the third position.
Dr. Wale Akinyemi delivered the the Keynote address.
